Our journey began 13 years ago with a drive in a Volvo 240 Saloon. That single drive sparked a lifelong obsession and the birth of Ashley Classics & Retros.

The passion for classic cars was passed down from my father, who gave me the classic car bug from an early age. Automotive restoration has always been part of our family, and that passion grew when I rescued a dormant Volvo 240 Saloon restoration project.

Back then, sourcing quality classic Volvo parts was incredibly difficult. Finding reliable, high-quality components often meant searching far and wide, with no guarantee of getting the right part.

That very first restoration project changed everything.

What started as a hobby quickly became a full-time career — the best decision I've ever made.

Over the past 13 years, I have personally bought, restored, and sold almost 100 classic Volvos, including Volvo 240s, Volvo 740 Saloons and Estates, numerous Volvo 940 variants, and even my dream Volvo 242.

I still proudly own that very first Volvo 240 today.

This hands-on experience means we truly understand these cars inside and out. We've faced the challenges, solved the problems, and learned through years of real-world restoration experience, allowing us to help fellow enthusiasts restore and maintain their own classic Volvos with confidence.

For more than 13 years, Ashley Classics & Retros has been hands-on in the workshop, restoring Volvo 240, 740, 940, and 960 models for ourselves and our customers.
